
John Lindstedt has been riding for over 25 years. He competed as a junior in numerous A rated shows around the country. At the age of 14 John started riding with James Hulick, and started his apprenticeship at the age of 16 with Frank Perla.
James Hulick was the winner of the 1970 Hunter Seat Finals and reserve champion of the ASPCA Maclay Finals. In 1974 he took the National Leading Rider title at the Washington International. Training with James, John had the opportunity to ride some of the nation’s top hunters. These horses included Russian Caviar, a top junior hunter, Sans Pardon, a top Grand Prix horse, Master Dan, a top working hunter, and Simple Simon, a top working hunter.
John turned pro at age 18 during his apprenticeship with Frank Perla. During this time John was able to travel to numerous A rated horse shows along the east coast, from Vermont Summer Festivals to Wellington, FL.
In 2003 John started his own business which is now incorporated as High Meadows Equestrian Center, Inc. He is curently training riders ranging from short stirup to the top levels of equitation and jumpers.
John is best known for his riding abilities including starting young horses under saddle and thoughtfully bringing them up through the ranks. He is currently focusing his efforts on a select few bound for the working hunter and grand prix rings.
